My life has split in 2.

Have you lost someone you loved? Then be sure to follow me @grace_and_grief_healing so we can be friends and support each other

I’m wondering if you look at your life this way too …

“Before and After”

Before my son died and after my son died.

Now, living in the “after”, I feel like a completely different person.

One of the things that I carry is a hole in my heart.

Sometimes it’s quiet, but most of the time it’s loud. And it gets the loudest when someone will ask me how many children I have …or the dreaded question… “How are you? “

Do you feel that hole inside too?

I guess it’s because I have all this love in my heart for my son and I don’t have a way to give it to him in person.

It’s the strangest and most profound pain I’ve ever known.

You know what I mean?

As I walk in the “after”, I’ve started doing a few things to help me pour out my love to my son.

A memorial table is something I started. It’s a place for me to go to feel a bit closer to him. I put a photo of it as well as shared a few other things to help “manage” my grief

If you’d like to see it, comment FIVE below and I’ll send it to your inbox

You are not alone 🩷

Even after nearly 20 years, I still find myself having my breath taken away. Missing him, my beautiful 11 year old baby.

I say this all the time , it’s just so difficult to accept my son is no longer with us. My heart is shattered forever.

The before and after is a very profound experience. I too had so much joy in my life , how lucky was I . When my beloved son died a huge part of me died too . I’m a different person now . I prefer hanging out with new people , who know this ‘me’ because I have really changed . I’ve moved house & changed jobs , quieter life . It has helped . After so much trauma we have to move forward in health and grace until we meet our beloved child again ❤️
