❤️‍🩹My cast is off and the healing & recovery begin! ❤️‍🩹A week ago today I was freed from my cast. Little did I know that the aftermath of being locked 🔒 in a cast for 11 weeks would be so intense! I wasn’t truly prepared for the struggle. ✋My hand and fingers are very stiff, swollen and painful. I can’t make a complete fist or flatten my hand yet. Because I had a complicated break my supination and pronation of my wrist/arm is the greatest challenge. I have lost strength and muscle tone in my forearm & triceps and my shoulder is locked up from doing all the work the past 11 weeks! ❤️As you can see I have a long road to recovery! The mental game is SO IMPORTANT to this healing journey. A positive mindset is key 🔑 when facing daily struggles. Focusing on gratitude, positive affirmations, prayer, meditation and deep breathing have always been a part of my morning routine, but now more than ever, I am leaning on these tools throughout the days & evenings! ➡️➡️➡️SWIPE to see what I am doing to help myself ease into this rehab and recovery phase with strength, patience, faith, and hope! 💪I am not allowed to lift anything heavier than a plastic water bottle for the first two weeks; so mobility work and one arm training continue! 💪❤️💪The goal is to train smart, trust the process and heal well so that I will hang onto lifelong movement, strength & mobility! 🥰Wishing you all a Magical Monday and a Wonderful week ahead! 💪❤️💪Let’s rock this week! 🥰Keep up the amazing work and thank you all for the beautiful encouragement and support! ❤️I appreciate you all! #injuryrecovery #myhealingjourney #barefoottraining #gettingbettereveryday #mindsetmatters
