Kasvoin kahdestaan yh-äidin kanssa. @mandinmamma hoiti käytännössä molempien vanhempien roolit, sillä mun isä ei juurikaan ollut elämässäni mukana.

Koulussa isänpäivän lähestyessä askarreltiin aina isänpäiväkortit. Opettajan oli vaikea ymmärtää, miksi en voi tehdä korttia isälleni — olihan tämä kuitenkin elossa. Niinpä askartelin kortin usein isoisälleni. Kun hän kuoli, kortissani luki jatkossa: ”Hyvää isänpäivää äiti.”

Vuonna 2022 myös isäni kuoli. En koskaan saanut enää mahdollisuutta nähdä häntä. ❤️‍🩹

Lähestyvä isänpäivä sai mut pohtimaan, onko hyvä asia, että nykyään useissa paikoissa puhutaan isänpäivän sijaan ”läheistenpäivästä”. Onko parempi, että isänpäiväkorttien askartelusta päiväkodeissa ja kouluissa ollaan luopumassa kokonaan? 💭

Mä olin yksi niistä lapsista, joka ei voinut samaistua isänpäivän juhlintaan samalla tavoin kuin monet luokkalaiset, joiden elämässä oli läsnä sekä isä että äiti.

Nykyään isänpäivä on saanut mulle myös aivan uuden merkityksen omien lasten ja kumppanini isyyden myötä. ❤️ Silti päivä herättää edelleen myös niitä vähän rikkinäisiä tunteita.
