Today I turn 50. Today, after a long hiatus, I return to music. It was a difficult year. I had writer’s block. My sound engineer passed away. My designer who did cover art for me for many years, moved on to another creative field. I was looking for something to inspire me, and here I am. I am grateful to all of you, my friends, to everyone who has made music over the years (with or without me) and who continues to do it. When I see your posts about your new releases, you inspire me. When I see you don’t give up despite weak feedback, you inspire me. When I see how at your 30s, 40s, 50s the creative fire still burns within as in your 20s, you inspire me. On this day I say: I salute you!
