The 1990s was the exuberant peak of the most uncontainable and funniest soul in Hollywood history: Jim Carrey.
A whirlwind rise in 1994 saw all-time classics Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, and Dumb and Dumber - a hysterical Holy Trinity - solidify him as the face of comedy in the Motion Picture Galaxy.
Ace Ventura: When Nature Calls (1995), The Cable Guy (1996), and Liar Liar (1997) continued his distinguished trail of comedic glory before 1998 saw an equally impressive turn to a more serious performance in The Truman Show: proving Jim Carrey is not just a brilliant comedian, but a superb actor as well, reflected by the first of his two Golden Globes.
His second would follow after his performance in Man on the Moon a year later.
A persona truly outlandish, and borderline out of control as it flirted between differing realms of insanity, accompanied by a maniacal laugh, utterly bizarre facial expressions, and extreme mannerisms, moulded Jim Carrey into a newfangled and irrepressible entertainment genius.
His pioneering abilities to entertain his audience in such a effervescent way set a cosmic comedy gold standard - still to be matched - for the Entertainment Universe’s most revered realm: Hollywood.
Jim Carrey’s legendary powers to conjure laughter are so exalted, he is a god of comedy amongst the Celebrity Cosmos.
An otherworldly energy level unseen before on the big screen, with a truly inventive mind birthed to create one of the highest frequencies in the Universe (happiness through laughter), made him a special personality the world has been bestowed to encounter.
He took Hollywood to blissful heights where the heavens of the Entertainment Universe converge as his films raised the frequency of the human race.
One day there will be an Oscar named after Jim Carrey: finally dedicated to the genre he so illustriously elevated.
