Soldier Receives ā‚¦500 Thousand Reward After Turning Down Bribe From Kidn@pper The Nigerian Army has honoured Private Utim Terwase with a ā‚¦500,000 cash reward for refusing payment offered by a notorious kidn@pper to secure his freedom. Terwase reportedly intercepted the suspect while he was attempting to escape but declined the money offered to facilitate his release. He subsequently handed the suspect over to the relevant authorities. The recognition was approved by the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Division of the Nigerian Army and Commander of Operation Enduring Peace (OPEP), Major General Maxwell Dangana. The cash reward was presented on Danganaā€™s behalf by the Commander of Sector 6, Colonel Philimon Malgwi, while the operationā€™s spokesperson, Captain Polycarp Chinonso Oteh, confirmed the development. Dangana praised Terwase for placing his responsibility above personal gain, describing his actions as an example of the discipline, integrity and professionalism expected of military personnel. He said: ā€œThe soldierā€™s conduct reflects the highest standards of military professionalism, loyalty and commitment to duty expected of personnel of the Nigerian Army. ā€œRather than compromise his responsibility for personal gain, he upheld the values of honesty, accountability and selfless service by discharging his duties responsibly.ā€ The GOC disclosed that the ā‚¦500,000 presented to the soldier was equivalent to the amount he rejected as a bribe. He further encouraged other personnel to follow Terwaseā€™s example, stressing that Operation Enduring Peace would continue to promote integrity, accountability and professionalism in the discharge of military duties.

THREE WEEKS BEFORE MY ANAND KARAJ, I HAD TO UNDERGO SURGERY šŸ„¹šŸ¤ A part of my wedding journey I havenā€™t sharedā€¦ until now. Just three weeks before one of the biggest days of my life, I unexpectedly found myself undergoing surgery. A time that should have been filled with excitement and wedding preparations was suddenly filled with pain, recovery and uncertainty. I couldnā€™t lift anything heavy, I couldnā€™t sit for long, and all I could do was pray that I would be well enough for the day I had dreamed of. I remember my sister carrying my bridal outfit when we went to collect it because I physically couldnā€™t. A small gesture, but one Iā€™ll never forget. šŸ¤ And despite everything, I still had my own beautiful brides to look after. A special thank you to @divyamendi for taking over my booking on the day of my surgery, and to my brides who came to my home for their mehndi, patiently allowing me to take breaks when sitting became too painful. Your kindness meant more than youā€™ll ever know. šŸ„¹šŸ¤ And then came 13.09.2026. šŸ¤ The day I was blessed to marry my best friend in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. What many didnā€™t realise was that I was still recovering. I couldnā€™t sit on the floor during my Anand Karaj, so I had to stand. Looking back at my wedding photographs, I see more than a bride in her dream lehenga. I see strength, love, family and the people who helped me through moments when I couldnā€™t do everything myself. Because behind some of our happiest moments are battles nobody knows weā€™re fighting. Forever grateful to my family, my loved ones and, above all, Waheguru for carrying me through it all. Waheguru, tera shukar hai. šŸ™šŸ½šŸ¤ #waheguru #sikhbride #punjabi #surgery #grateful
