Presiden ke-7 RI Joko Widodo (Jokowi) menyebut sekitar 34 juta masyarakat Indonesia percaya terhadap tuduhan ijazah palsu yang dialamatkan kepadanya. Jokowi mengaku polemik tersebut berdampak terhadap nama baik, reputasi, hingga menurunnya kepercayaan publik terhadap dirinya. _ Hal itu disampaikan Jokowi saat memberikan kesaksian dalam persidangan perkara dugaan pencemaran nama baik dan fitnah terkait polemik ijazah di Pengadilan Negeri Jakarta Timur , Kamis (5/11/2026). _ Awalnya, jaksa penuntut umum menanyakan kerugian immaterial yang dialami Jokowi akibat perbuatan terdakwa. Menjawab pertanyaan tersebut, Jokowi menyebut nama baik dan reputasinya tercemar. _ "Ya tercemarnya nama baik saya, Yang Mulia, dan juga reputasi yang saya miliki," ujar Jokowi di persidangan. _ Ayah Gibran Rakabuming Raka ini mengungkapkan hasil survei yang menurut ingatannya menunjukkan 18% masyarakat Indonesia percaya terhadap tuduhan ijazah palsu tersebut. _ "Karena kalau kita lihat dari survei terakhir, seingat saya 18% masyarakat Indonesia percaya terhadap tuduhan ijazah palsu ini, Yang Mulia. 18% itu kalau dikonversi ke orang itu kurang lebih 34 juta orang percaya mengenai tuduhan ijazah palsu ini, Yang Mulia," katanya. _ Jaksa kemudian mempertegas apakah Jokowi merasa kepercayaan publik terhadap dirinya menurun akibat polemik tersebut. _ Jokowi membenarkan hal itu. Dia kembali menyebut angka 34 juta orang yang menurutnya mempercayai tuduhan ijazah palsu tersebut telah berdampak terhadap kepercayaan publik kepadanya. _ "Betul, Yang Mulia. 34 juta orang percaya, Yang Mulia, bahwa tuduhan palsu, tuduhan ijazah palsu ini telah mengurangi kepercayaan publik terhadap saya, Yang Mulia," tutur Jokowi. _ Pernyataan tersebut disampaikan Jokowi saat menjelaskan kerugian immaterial yang dirasakannya dalam perkara yang tengah disidangkan tersebut.
Representative Thomas Massie (R-KY) told CNN he plans to trigger a House vote to impeach Secretary of War Pete Hegseth when Congress returns next week, and multiple GOP sources said they expect it to pass. Massie introduced the resolution September 15th as a privileged measure, but House leaders sent members home early before a vote could happen. The House is scheduled to return November 9th. Republican lawmakers and allies are also moving to blame Hegseth for the party’s midterm losses, CNN reports, citing multiple Republicans who spoke anonymously. They argue he oversold the ability to win the Iran war quickly and kept advocating escalation despite little sign Iran is closer to surrender. President Donald J. Trump said Wednesday he thinks Secretary Hegseth is “doing a very good job” and denied plans to fire him.
