He doesn't need a new guitar but it needs to be strung for a lefty. Sorry but there's not really such a thing as ambidextrous guitar players. He looks perfectly comfortable in the left-handed position so I'd assume he's a left-handed guitarist. This isn't an insult to your parenting, it's advice from a guitar player. Glad to see you supporting his dream.
