✦ Wondering about our plans with magazines?

We are hoping to have our first magazine out by July 2026! We are still looking for volunteers to write articles about their experiences and ideas; our linktree is finally set up, so go ahead and apply if you have something to share with the Alberta idol scene!

Our first volume will include our events from the 2025/2026 season up until April, alongside our wonderful plans going forward! Got any suggestions? Make sure to share them!

Thank you for the support so far, and we are very excited to share the 2026 season with you! 🎪

Safari goers in a hot air balloon witness a lion hunt wildebeest from up above

You can really see the “drop of dish soap in an oily sink” effect this lone lion has on the entire herd of wildebeest. The moment they notice the lion getting closer, the wildebeest scatter in every direction, and in a crowd that size, someone is bound to get caught off guard, trip up, or be slow to get out of harm's way before the music stops.

This weaponization of the panic they arouse doesn’t work every time, in fact, no hunting strategy works every time they seem to pick based on the situation. More often than not, lions are ambush predators, although once in a while they may call an audible and see what they can drum up using alternative tactics.

Trump reacts to the midterm blue tsunami by saying, “I don't view it as a hit on me. We've had the greatest two years in the history of the presidency.”

Republicans spent months coming at Abdul El-Sayed sideways, and the first Muslim ever elected to the U.S. Senate just told them to come correct!
___________________________________________________
Abdul El-Sayed (D) beat Republican Mike Rogers for Michigan’s open Senate seat, sitting at 52.5% to Rogers’ 45.6% with about 96% of ballots counted, and the AP made the call at 2:27 a.m. making the 42-year-old physician the first Muslim ever elected to the United States Senate, taking over the seat of the retiring Gary Peters.

Months of Trump mocking his name and attacking his faith set up the moment, and El-Sayed cashed in at his Detroit victory rally. “Donald, I know you struggle with my name,” he said, “so after JD swears me in, in January, you can go on and call me Senator.”
