A California startup is developing a 7-foot chainsaw-wielding centaur robot designed to enter places too dangerous for humans. 🤖🪚

Called Threehalves, the robot is being developed by Satyress Robotics in Auburn, California. It combines a humanoid upper body with four legs for stability on rough terrain. The goal is to help workers operate safely in hazardous environments, including wildfire zones, collapsed buildings, and dangerous forestry sites.

A human operator would control the robot using joystick-style controls. Its modular arms are designed to accept interchangeable tools such as chainsaws, drills, and screwdrivers, allowing skilled workers to perform dangerous jobs from a safer location.

Even its unusual appearance serves a purpose. Cameras inside its horns are intended to help operators track its limbs and tools, while mechanical failsafes are designed to lock its joints if the robot loses air pressure or motor control.

The project is still in the prototype stage, with no confirmed commercial release date. Its creator, Beau Gaston, says the goal is to protect workers from dangerous conditions rather than replace them.

Be honest, if this thing walked out of the smoke to rescue you, would you feel relieved or terrified? 💀

While Nicki Minaj has been busy showing her support for Donald Trump and Republican candidates, her former lawyers are trying to collect a pretty hefty check!

According to Rolling Stone, the law firm Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani claims Nicki owes $295,605 in unpaid legal fees, interest, and other costs stemming from a copyright lawsuit involving her song “I Lied.”

The firm originally sued her in March and claims she has failed to respond to the lawsuit. Now, they’re asking a judge to award them the money through a default judgment.

A hearing is scheduled for November 16. Nicki has not publicly addressed the latest filing, and the court has not yet awarded the requested amount.
