“Married at First Sight: UK” has officially been canceled following disturbing allegations from former contestants. #Channel4 announced the decision after two women claimed they were r@ped by their on-screen husbands during filming, while a third accused her husband of a non-consensual s3x act. One woman also alleged she was threatened with an acid attack, while another reportedly informed the network and production company CPL of her r@pe allegation before her episodes aired. The men involved have denied the accusations. The allegations surfaced during a BBC Panorama investigation, with former participants accusing Channel 4 of failing to protect them. ______ An independent review found no violations of Britain’s broadcasting regulations but identified several areas where contestant safety measures could be strengthened. Among the findings was concern that certain aspects of the show could create “implicit pressure” on participants to become intimate. Recommendations included installing #CCTV, adding bedroom locks and panic buttons, allowing couples to sleep separately, and eliminating Intimacy Week and Partner Swap Week. ______ Despite the review concluding that future seasons could move forward with improved safety measures, Channel 4 CEO Priya Dogra ultimately decided to pull the plug. She acknowledged that the proposed changes were reasonable but questioned whether the show’s format should continue, saying she believes it “has now run its course over ten years.” Channel 4 previously removed all episodes from its streaming and television services and emphasized that determining the validity of the allegations is a matter for the police and the courts.
Love it!!!
