word of the year: avenue
hey, i’m pretty late to this, but i’ve been having some me-time. this year has been busy, eventful, full of new faces and challenges. i found myself in a completely different place than i was last year, which was a bit of a shock, but opened up new roads for growth and progress.
this year, i’ve felt myself mature in ways i wouldn’t have expected to mature. i fell in love with an unexpected but beautiful person, i lost proximity to some of my closest friends, and i moved into an entirely new home. this forced me to create new friendships, explore new experiences, and have enough free time to make what was the highlight of my year: creativity.
this same year, i wrote and published a poetry book, created and released an album, produced for 3 artists and 2 bands, performed with/for 10+ bands (40+ gigs), and i grew emotionally and mentally.
adversity is not a challenge, but it is an avenue towards progress.
