Homemade pie crust is 100x better than store bought, and ANYONE CAN BAKE IT! Today I’m walking you through the backbone of this holiday season: buttery flaky, homemade pie crust. This seemingly unimportant step in your dessert prep is one that is surprisingly easy, and SO worth the pay off. And because I could talk about pie crust for approximately 7 hours but wont…😚 here are just FOUR more tips for making the flakiest, most buttery pie crust of your life: 1. VODKA. Swap it for ice water in your dough! Unlike water, alcohol doesn’t encourage gluten development in the same way, which means an even more tender, flaky crust. 2. DON’T WAIT TOO LONG TO ROLL IT OUT. My sweet spot is about an hour in the fridge. The butter is cold, but the dough is still pliable enough to roll without cracking. If you’re refrigerating overnight, let it sit on the counter briefly before rolling. 3. CHILL IT AGAIN AFTER SHAPING. Once your dough is in the pie dish and you’ve crimped the edges, pop it back in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. Re-chilling the dough helps prevent the crust from shrinking or losing its shape in the oven. 4. GIVE IT A LITTLE SHINE. Before baking, brush the exposed edges with heavy cream or an egg wash for a little extra golden shine. It’s such a small step, but makes your pie look SO much better. And there you have it! Go forth and crust! Want the recipe sent straight in your DMs? comment “pie crust” on this post! Or find it at bromabakery.com. happy baking!

It’s been a wild few weeks. I just want to express my gratitude for everything to everyone. From getting to open up the Tivoli Theatre in Chattanooga to getting the entertainer of the year award at @intlbluegrass and seeing all my friends there.. jamming till 4am .. to the amazing shows in Huntsville at the beautiful @theorionamphitheater to the madness of our Halloween shows in Baltimore.. trick or treating in all the different rooms backstage at @cfgbankarena with my son. Working so hard on the He-man theme and seeing it all come together.. I was nervous leading up to it. I had to sit down and catch my breath shortly before we walked on stage. I was having bad anxiety and we had been playing for 8 hours a day leading up to it trying to cram all these arrangements in our brains. I had no idea if we were gonna pull it off but somehow we always do. Even the couple original tunes I wrote for the theme went over great!! It’s just been an absolute whirlwind and I am so grateful to be able to do make this music with this incredible band and amazing team who all work their hind-ends off to make it happen. The little kid in this picture would not believe it. Thank you all for blowing his little mind.
Beyoncé, Prince, Michael Jackson, and Whitney Houston have each played a major role in shaping modern music, building legendary careers that continue to influence artists around the world. From groundbreaking albums and record-breaking achievements to unforgettable live performances, all four helped redefine the music industry in their own ways. Their impact extends beyond chart success, influencing fashion, choreography, vocal techniques, and popular culture across multiple generations. Michael Jackson revolutionized music videos and live performances, Prince pushed creative boundaries with his songwriting and musicianship, Whitney Houston set extraordinary standards for vocal performance, and Beyoncé has continued to redefine modern pop and R&B through her music and visual storytelling. Removing any one of them from music history would mean losing an enormous collection of iconic songs, performances, and cultural moments that helped shape the industry. #MusicLegends #MusicHistory #PopCulture
