This took ages to put together but it’s finally done! I wanted to try out a little concept comic hook for Threadbound to get a better feel on the art direction and vibes. This technically won’t be in the comic itself, but it covers the main murder mystery premise of the first chapter. This is the first mention of Patch, which is where the story takes place, and I’ve spent a long time fleshing it out. It’s a tight-knit small town stuck in a decaying 1950s aesthetic due to its declining economy. Despite that, the residents are very warm and welcoming. Everyone-knows-everyone kind of feel. I had a lot of fun coming up with the environments, and there’s a lot more in my drafts for specific locations that’ll appear in the comic - might get around to sharing those at some point.

And the Emmy for “Outstanding Culinary Cultural Series” goes to LUCKY CHOW! @franfilm and I are incredibly lucky to do work that we love — traveling the world in search of delicious stories to share — and beyond honored to be awarded for doing just that. Truly a "pinch me" moment! I created Lucky Chow 10 years ago with the early and ongoing support of @caamedia, @pbs @ampublictv @createtvchannel and will be eternally grateful for their dedication to amplifying #aapi voices. Huge thank you to @dearclarissa and all those who trust us to tell their stories…as well as those who tune in! And, of course, thank you to the Academy and @theemmys.tv ! #Luckychow #Emmys #grateful
The Halloween debate has taken another turn!🧐👻 ZeZe Millz has sparked conversation after sharing her thoughts on Christians taking part in the spooky celebrations. Residents, do you agree or do you think Christians can celebrate Halloween without it conflicting with their faith?🤔🎃 #TSB #TSBTalks
This is Pancake with his tissue paper collection. He has had one piece since July. He scratches and plays with it but never destroys it. He sleeps on it and rubs his little face on it. It’s now all torn to pieces but I have to fold it up every day for him. If I try to take it away he puts all his weight onto it and sinks his claws and paws in. I recently tried to replace the grey tissue paper with a new piece. It had no effect. Then I realised , I had to put the love in.
