Now feels like a pretty suitable moment to speak from the heart. This season started off exactly how I had hoped but it very quickly unravelled with tough luck and poor performances. It’s been the first proper season of my career where I’ve had more bad days than good. Has it been tough to deal with? Yes, very. Has it been tough to pick myself up week in, week out? Yes, very. Confusion at times? Often. All I know is that I’ve given it my all and 2026 was not meant to be my year.

I want to sincerely congratulate Kimi on what has been an absolutely incredible season. You truly deserve the Championship.

Thank you to the team for producing the best car and power unit this season; it’s been inspiring to see everyone coming together over four tough years to bring Mercedes back to the top.

Now, all I can promise is that for the rest of this season, and into the next one, I will be giving my absolute all to rediscover the performance I have been capable of producing for the majority of my career and fingers crossed a little bit of luck returns.

Thanks for all the support 🙏

If you’d like to know more about the person behind the videos, comment SUBSTACK and I’ll send you The Full English. It’s where I write about British life, family, and everything I’ve picked up along the way.

I’d love to know: where are you reading this from?
Cheers,
Mike

So Shell have just recorded £8.1bn in profits for Q3 under the world class leadership of Wael Sawan, who’s bold business plan (sitting on his arse and waiting for oil prices to spiral out of control thanks to Donald Trump) will surely get him a workplace award… on top of the millions of pounds he’s made from his personal shares in the company of course.

And if that wasn’t enough Prime Minister Andy Burnham is subsidising the oil and gas industry and boosting their profits by refusing to rule out opening the Rosebank oil field.

Head to the link in my bio to BLOCK the new Rosebank oil field and let the government know that we won’t let fossil fuel interests gamble with our futures any longer (Ad).

Gracias Mexico for a very special week. Unfortunately, it wasn’t our day yesterday, lost power at the start, fought back to P10 before receiving a penalty. Onto Brasil. A huge congrats to @kimi.antonelli for winning the world championship! Top guy 👏
