How do you know who you actually are? ‘Stay true to yourself.’ ‘Be authentic.’ ‘You do you.’ But how do you actually know who that ‘you’ is? Well, the ancient Greek philosopher Plotinus might give us a solution, because Plotinus is famous for giving us what’s called the ‘negative way,’ or the ‘via negativa.’ And this says that if you want to find or understand something, you should subtract all of the things that are not that thing. So, for example, if you want to decide what to wear for work, you should subtract all of the things that you don’t want to wear. And the thing that you have left, ideally, is the thing that you have to wear. So Plotinus asks us to imagine our authentic self as like a statue contained within a block of marble. And the art of finding that statue is about chipping away all of those things you don’t care about. Chip away the things you do for money or for praise, or because you have to. Chip away the chores, the jobs, and the responsibilities. What you are left with is your authentic being, and if you do more of that, you will thrive. In other words, you need to reduce. Cut out all of the impositions and pressures in life. Cut out all of the have-tos and must-dos. Cut out all of the things that you don’t actually want to do, because what you have left will be you.
Man reportedly pushes girlfriend’s sister from 2-storey building in Imo state for allegedly refusing his advances. A young man has been arrested after he allegedly threw his girlfriend’s sister from a storey building in Mbonu Ejike, Owerri, Imo State. A video of the suspect being escorted by security agents after he was almost assaulted by a mob made the rounds on Sunday, November 1. According to reports, the suspect’s girlfriend had travelled out of town, leaving her boyfriend with his sister at home. The reports claim the suspect had attempted to have carnal knowledge of the sister, and because she resisted his attempt, he pushed her down the building, fatally injuring her. The suspect was immediately apprehended and handed over to operatives of the Imo State Police Command, which is yet to officially confirm the incident.
Vennilave velli velli nilave pogum idam ellame kooda kooda vandhai 🌙🤌🏼 . . As the POV goes, dancing to this song was such a dream come true moment! The vibe this song exudes is just something else.😎 Finally getting to learn such a groovy, energetic old-school hiphop choreo on my fav song from Sujith Master at his very own studio made it even more special. Had the best time learning and dancing to this one. Already looking forward to learning so much more! ❤️💙 🧠: @sujith_g3 🌟 🎵: @jharrisjayaraj @singerhariharana @singerkrish @actornakkhul @ayngaranofficial 🫠🤌🏼 📍: @g3_danceclub ✨ 🎥 : @amritha_cs_kumar 🥰 [ Manjal Veyil, dance, workshop, choreography, Tamil song, Kollywood, Kamal Haasan, Jyothika, Vettaiyadu vilayadu, Harris Jeyaraj, Hariharan, GVM, FYP, explore, viral, trending, workshop showcase, energy, expressions ] #dance #reels #tamilsong #explore #fyp
