Keyser Murphy was bad at team sports, so he chose aggressive alpine snowboarding.

First powder day sealed the deal. Riding fast, spraying skiers…stomping big mountain-wide ever since. Find him chucking meat, chasing pow, putting a line out 🎣 year round near Mammoth Lakes, CA.

I used to say that to be able to keep going I have to wear many different hats….but I took note of a certain prominent message on social during the Summer when it was said

“Ain’t never seen no farmer wearing a hat like that !” 👒

So here’s to that post ………. 😊

Taking great strides here in posting this or maybe just putting my foot in it. 💩 🥾 👠

I have come to the not very startling conclusion that whatever you do someone will find fault. 🤔

So, as a mother of nine offspring what would I like them to be ?

Independent, free thinking, generous, gracious.
To show tenacity, be hard working and to be resolute and determined whilst being empathetic and kind.
To not be boastful but not hold back in pushing forward.
To lead fulfilling happy lives and to try to share that out.

To be able to align with all of these attributes and all at the same time is nigh on impossible.

So let’s just say that to have a sense of flipping humour at the ridiculousness of the world that we live in is without a doubt the most important and powerful thing.

Laugh with me or at me, either will do. 😊
I’m great at dealing with **it 💩
And if I can make a living from both doing the everyday shovelling of it AND talking/writing/filming doing it then I absolutely shall. 😊
Leading a rich and fulfilling life isn’t about the monetary riches per se but it’s dammed impossible as first generation tenant farmers to make anything near what would be classed as a living .🧑‍🌾

Not wanting to change our lives…just maintain it, is where it’s at. No handouts required just support from the general public and government instead of being hated for diversifying.
So many farmers everywhere will have second/ third jobs and work every hour God sends until a time when value is placed on food production and farming. Not holding breath. 🙄
