Shakespeare's Shadows

We’re in our Anne Hathaway era 🪶🍏🎶

This bonus episode spotlights two fresh and thrilling depictions of Shakespeare’s wife, Anne Hathaway: the hit musical @andjulietbway and new two-person play “Muse of Fire.”

And, because Anne aka Agnes is having a moment on the big screen too, we also chat a bit about “Hamnet.”

What’s it like to portray a vivacious, strong-willed Anne Hathaway opposite an actor playing the greatest playwright of all time? What’s up with Shakespeare leaving his wife the “second-best bed” in his will? And how excited were we when news broke last year of research suggesting that the real Anne Hathaway — contrary to prior assumptions she remained behind in Stratford-upon-Avon — lived in London with her husband?

🎧All that and more in this bonus episode, available wherever you listen to your podcasts. Link in bio
