It’s not been the easiest of weeks on the workshop build - it turns out there’s a reason almost no one puts an apex roof on their DIY workshops / garden rooms 😅 - but I had some friendly faces (and more importantly helping hands!) keeping me company!

I talk about the physical impact of doing renovations / garden projects / manual labour solo, quite a bit - but the mental impact can be just as hard some times! There was a moment this week where I sat on the floor of the workshop, staring up at the non existent roof and thought ‘I don’t think I can do this.’

That’s when you need people to pick you up off the floor and tell you to give it one more go. Thanks @wearekingingit for your help! (And to one of my excellent neighbours and his friends) - there is a chance this thing will get a roof before winter! 💪

The lengths people are going to for GTA 6 are getting out of hand, and the game is now just three weeks away.

One viral contract has a boyfriend getting his girlfriend to sign off on 10 days of uninterrupted playtime starting November 19, complete with a ban on telling him “it’s just a game.”

The fan made agreement even rules out affection during active missions, though she can cancel one rule if she chips in about £40 toward the game. Some businesses are reportedly planning to close or cut hours for launch week, while most major game publishers have cleared out of November entirely to avoid going up against it.

GTA 6 arrives November 19 after two delays and a wait of more than 13 years since GTA 5. It’s already expected to be one of the biggest entertainment launches ever.

Texas Democrat James Talarico defeated Republican Ken Paxton in one of the most closely contested Senate races, ending a 38-year drought for his party in the GOP stronghold.

Voter backlash against Trump administration policies and the political charisma of Talarico, 37, helped Democrats finally secure a hard-fought win after past election cycles of dashed hopes. The results also validated critics’ fears over Trump’s decision to endorse Paxton, a MAGA firebrand with a history of scandal, over longtime Sen. John Cornyn in the GOP primary. Cornyn supporters predicted that backing Paxton would force the GOP to spend hundreds of millions of dollars to support a flawed candidate in one of the country’s most expensive states to campaign in.
