Sapling was delighted to welcome students from the National Institute of Technology Karnataka (NITK) as a part of their village immersion program, which has been designed to give students a first hand experience of the challenges faced at the grassroots level.

As a part of this visit, we were able to give the students an insight into how Sapling’s activities go beyond the development of infrastructure and include employment generation in the local area, the running of a skill training centre, and the development of sustainable ecosystems that can contribute to the development of rural areas in the long run.

This interaction has given the students an understanding of how skilling and employment programs can be an important part of the development of village economies.
