As I turn 25;
I realized that I’ve been scared my whole life.
Scared to say something, scared to act, scared to start.
To act on my ideas, to be weird, to be too much, and scared to achieve my dreams and take it too far.
But my ultimate fear… to be myself.
As I turn 25, it seems that the fears never get smaller.
However, when I look back and think about little me.
How despite the struggles he faced with moving to a new country, the perceived contradictions, his lost identity, and coming to terms with his sexuality.
Somehow, despite all that fear he faced.
Here I am.
