“A great party needs three things: people you love, people you don’t know, and at least one person you probably shouldn’t be talking to,” @derekblasberg says. He would know. From growing up in St. Louis and interning at W to attending multiple Met Galas and rubbing shoulders with everyone from Valentino Garavani and Celine Dion to Dua Lipa and Mariah Carey, Blasberg has spent decades at the heart of fashion’s social scene. For our latest installment of Life in Parties, the writer and bon vivant opens his personal archive to revisit the people, places, and unforgettable nights that shaped him.
