Soozee Carmichael

It's my birthday! This year's cake was inspired by my favorite book series from last year's reading. The Appies Hockey series by @jennyproctorbooks and @kikimojo got me into contemporary romcoms that lead to me reading over 150 for 2025. I read both authors entire collection which were both *chef's kiss* so I had to celebrate with an Appies cake. It's a vanilla cake with lemon cream cheese frosting, which is why it has a very yellow hue to it. It tastes amazing and I will definitely be enjoying a slice while I reread Romancing the Grump or Runaway Bride and Prejudice which were both part of the Appies and also amazing.
