The documentary film Nærme (Close), takes us through an incredible tale of fortune, luck, and scenic natural forces that border on the magical. We meet a person who has narrowly avoided a rockslide and thus death, a tunnel enthusiast who dreams of portals and a lottery employee whose job is to call and inform the winners.
Eli Mai Huang Nesse (b. 1992, NO) is an artist, set designer and filmmaker. Collecting stories from people who have been trapped by landslides, visiting roads closed due to avalanche danger and traveling into the core of mountains to film tunnel workers, she researches the need for shortcuts, coping mechanisms and how to maintain hope in surroundings which collapse.
