1990 Rolex Cellini ‘Clous de Paris’. Manual Wind. Ref. 4127.
25mm x 34mm solid 18kt. gold case. Stunning, clous de paris/hobnail (a guillochè of interlocking pyramids) front. Unpolished & razor sharp. Original, signed crown.
Running the 20 jewel Rolex Caliber 1601, adjusted to 4 positions & with 48hrs of specified power reserve.
The cream yellow dial is flawless, & in absolutely mint condition - this is one of the few dials that’s really been untouched by time. Applied gold coronet at the 12. Matching gold stick hands & markers.
Comes on a new custom made strap plus the original brown alligator strap (not in the best condition but a good thing to have it). Original 18kt solid gold buckle.
Runs great.
The pinnacle of Cellini’s design driven era, the 70s-90s saw some absolute beauties from Rolex. Creations made only for a few years, never to be brought back again. This watch is one such example & an absolute rarity having been preserved so beautifully for 30 years.
