**My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU** (often called *Oregairu*) is a Japanese anime series based on the light novels by Wataru Watari. It follows the socially sharp but cynical high-schooler Hachiman Hikigaya, whose realist worldview and lack of friends draw the attention of his teacher, who forces him to join the Service Club. Alongside the cold but brilliant Yukino Yukinoshita and later the cheerful Yui Yuigahama, Hachiman helps classmates with their problems — all while confronting his own misunderstandings about friendship, empathy, and personal growth. The story balances dry humor, introspective character exploration, and thoughtful commentary on youth, relationships, and authenticity, making it popular among fans of more grounded, character-driven school romances.
