Ya se encuentra disponible una nueva entrega del archivo Distat en SoundCloud. En esta ocasión presentamos el registro de Open Symmetry (2024), obra para violín solo del compositor Eden Lonsdale. Interpretada por la violinista alemana Marie Schreer, la pieza parte del interés por las simetrías que subyacen a ciertas formas clásicas y las pone en diálogo con los principios de crecimiento de los cristales. A partir de esta idea, la obra despliega una forma en constante transformación: un patrón que se repliega sobre sí mismo mientras incorpora nuevas configuraciones musicales, avanzando hacia una conclusión abierta.

A new release of the Distat archive is now available on SoundCloud. This time we present the recording of Open Symmetry (2024), a work for solo violin by composer Eden Lonsdale. Performed by the German violinist Marie Schreer, the piece draws on an interest in the symmetries underlying certain strict classical forms and places them in dialogue with principles of crystal growth. From this starting point, the work unfolds as a continuously evolving form: a pattern that folds back on itself while constantly integrating new musical shapes, moving toward an open conclusion.
