12th Fail is a deeply inspiring story about perseverance, honesty, and the courage to chase impossible dreams. The film follows the life of Manoj Kumar Sharma, a young boy from a small village who grows up in a poor family surrounded by corruption and limited opportunities. After failing in his 12th-grade exams, society labels him as a failure, but instead of giving up, Manoj decides to change his life by preparing for one of the toughest exams in India — the UPSC civil services examination.
His journey is filled with hardship, financial struggles, and countless moments where quitting seems easier than continuing. Living in the tough environment of Mukherjee Nagar in Delhi, he experiences the harsh reality of competitive exams where thousands dream of success but only a few reach their destination. Despite failing multiple times and facing constant pressure, Manoj’s determination, honesty, and discipline keep pushing him forward.
The film beautifully portrays the struggle, sacrifices, and emotional challenges faced by aspirants who dedicate years of their lives chasing a single dream. With a powerful performance by Vikrant Massey and realistic storytelling by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 12th Fail delivers a strong message that failure is not the end of the road — it is often the beginning of a stronger journey toward success.
