Happy 18th Birthday my sweet son Jeremiah
18 years ago on a rainy day my whole world changed. I still remember it so clearly. My water broke while it was pouring outside. I was only 19 and I was scared trying to be brave. My cousin had to drive me to the hospital and I remember sitting there praying God please help me What I didn’t understand then was that God was not just helping me He was sending me you.
Jeremiah I prayed for you before you were even born. Now I see it so clearly. God knew I would need you in my life just as much as you would need me. You have been one of the greatest blessings He has ever given me.You have such a kind heart. You are thoughtful giving and protective. Watching you take care of your little brother makes me so proud. You do not just say you are a good big brother you show it every day. You are a hard worker. You take your responsibilities seriously and you move with discipline. I see the effort you put into everything you do and it does not go unnoticed. And you are such a good dog dad to Cooper and Milo. The way you care for them and love on them shows your heart. You love the Lord and that means everything to me. Your heart shines. Anyone who meets you is blessed just by knowing you. You are wise beyond your years. You challenge me to be better. You make me think. You inspire me.
And let’s be real you are a financial guru and a master at technology. The way your mind works amazes me. God gave you something special and I know He is going to use you in a powerful way.
From that rainy hospital room to right now watching you turn 18 I am just so thankful. We really grew up together. You did not just grow up you became a strong kind young man.
Thank you for being patient with me while we learned life together. Thank you for teaching me. Thank you for loving our family the way you do.
I am so proud to call you my son.
I am so grateful God chose me to be your mom.
I will always be in your corner praying for you believing in you and loving you.
