Me quedé sin palabras. The NYC Marathon was once an inconceivable dream of mine. I cheered on marathoners for years never thinking that could or would be me. How lucky am I to have been so wrong ❤️ My first marathon, and the first in my family. This race was for them, in honor of their story of migration to the best city in the world. They touched down in Queens, got married in Brooklyn, my mom worked in the Bronx, and I’ve planted roots in Harlem. I took a run not only through NYC but through my family’s journey here. Their grit has always reassured me that soy capaz de lo que sea, even when at times, I don’t believe it myself. What an honor it was to raise money for @nylagnews. Now more than ever, legal aid is so needed, especially for our immigrant New Yorkers I’m so thankful for all the love and support. Ayer, ustedes y esta ciudad me dieron un abrazote que jamás olvidaré First in my bloodline to say I’m a MF MARATHONER!!!!! Qué locura! 🗽🪽 Special agradecimiento to my running family @pasorunclub @svintsrunclub @palmasny. You’ve turned miles into moments I could never forget @jorge.photog behind the lens of course 🫶🏽
The family of 20-year-old Nathalia Gadelha Filgueiras has identified her as the co-pilot who lost her life in Sunday’s Florida plane crash 🕊️ Nathalia earned her private pilot’s license at just 17, before she even had her driver’s license. Still a student at West Boca Raton High School, she was already working toward a future in aviation. By 20, she had logged 1,300 flight hours, according to her family. Her father was also a pilot, and her sister described flying as her greatest passion. She went on to become a flight instructor, with dreams of one day flying for a commercial airline. She was one of nine people aboard the Learjet 60 traveling from Austin, Texas, to the Bahamas when it crashed in Palm Beach County on November 1. There were no survivors. Investigators said Monday that the crew reported icing and turbulence before the crash, and evidence suggests parts of the aircraft may have separated before impact. The cause remains under investigation. Our hearts are with Nathalia’s family and everyone mourning the nine lives lost. #MindsetTherapy #NathaliaGadelha
Hackers linked to North Korea reportedly stole approximately $6.3 billion in cryptocurrency from Binance on October 29, 2026, in the largest cryptocurrency theft on record. Blockchain intelligence firms TRM Labs and Chainalysis linked the attack to North Korea’s TraderTraitor hacking group. Binance said investigators were still working to confirm the attackers’ identities. According to TRM Labs, the attackers drained Binance wallets across ten blockchain networks, moving most of the funds in roughly 20 minutes. The firm said it had high confidence in its attribution, citing blockchain records and other intelligence. Binance initially pointed to a compromised employee laptop but later said investigators had discovered additional breaches. The attackers reportedly compromised the systems used to authorize transactions, allowing them to drain the affected wallets. Around $3 billion in stolen assets had been frozen through coordination with industry partners. Freezing those assets restricts their movement but does not mean they have been recovered. Binance said it would cover all losses using its protection fund and company resources. The theft surpassed the previous record of $1.5 billion stolen from cryptocurrency exchange Bybit in February 2025, an attack the FBI attributed to TraderTraitor. Experts say North Korea uses cryptocurrency theft to circumvent international sanctions, obtain foreign currency, and help finance its nuclear weapons program.
