Stovetop Italian Meatballs✨ When you don’t have time to simmer meatballs and sauce for hours, this is my go-to easy recipe! We use jarred marinara sauce and simmer the meatballs right in the sauce, one pan and ready in 30!

Here’s what you need:
Meatballs
1 lb ground beef (I use 80/20)
1 egg
1/2 small yellow onion, finely diced
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tbsp tomato paste
2 tsp italian seasoning
1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
1/3 cup flax seed powder (sub breadcrumbs)
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon fresh black pepper
1 jar marinara sauce of choice
For serving: parsley or basil, parmesan cheese
Make the meatball mixture. Add all ingredients to a large bowl. Use your hands to combine until fully incorporated. Then use your hands to form into about 10 large meatballs. Place on parchment paper and set aside.
Pour the sauce into a large skillet and bring to a gentle simmer. Nestle the meatballs in the sauce, cover and simmer for about 20-25 minutes until cooked through. Remove the cover, flip the meatballs and give the sauce a stir to incorporate any separated fat. Let simmer uncovered for 2-3 more minutes to allow the sauce to thicken.
Before serving, spoon the sauce over the meatballs, top with fresh parsley and grated Parmesan. Serve with fresh pasta or with a side salad!
