Why did you let him go on his own in the first place!!! There would have been a massive row with him if it had been my husband !!! No you are NOT wrong your in-laws were AND your husband is also Wrong first for not standing up to his parents for excluding you and then proceeding to defend them for their actions when he should have refused to go to dinner without you. He is not worthy of you and who is to say that you would not know the etiquette. Get a GOOD divorce lawyer b4 husband gets home and start the divorce proceedings ASAP!

Do not blame your MIL. Trust me, when I say that your husband is the real problem. Your mother in law will not have the guts to do all of this to you if the knew that your husband got your back and is willing to go to war for you.

I have a feeling that she actually does have bad manners. It isn’t hard to learn good manners. I’m not happy with his family’s manners either but she can easily eliminate the problem. Her husband needs to help her learn good manners and he needs to go to therapy. This is a very fixable problem.

I would have been in to a lawyer the next day to divorce the famiky and make a clean break while he was away.
