GOLPES opens with a poetic prologue linking post–Civil War Spain with the early 1980s, highlighting the lingering social and moral scars of the era. Cobos blends noir energy with the lyrical, almost fantastical style of cine quinqui, complemented by Bronquio’s electronic, raver-tinged score, and a meticulous visual language that evokes both the period and the genre’s iconic aesthetic. The production design, musical choices, and careful cinematography work together to create a stylized yet grounded vision of marginality and street-level ferocity. 📅 13 March 📽️ Director Rafael Cobos attending for Q&A 🎟️ LAUNCH EVENT Tickets in bio #spanishcinema #amsterdamculture

Hi @moma.gallego ! Do you make films yourself?!

I started watching this movie with high expectations. It’s the first film by my childhood neighbour. His scripts have always impressed me. However, less than ten minutes into the film, I gave up on that expectation. I couldn’t understand any of the dialogue because the whole cast had very unclear pronunciation. This is a common issue in Spanish films. Please, all Spanish filmmakers: a well‑balanced sound mix and clear dialogue are essential to enjoy a movie. 😢
