Canning meat at home is easier than you probably think. And it’s a skill I think more people should know.

I first learned from someone who has been living off the land for over 40 years in Canada, and it was such a good reminder that these are skills worth learning. Especially given our current political climate.

Pressure canning meat is a practical way to make food shelf-stable, preserve your meat, and build a little more food security at home.

You don’t have to be a doomsday prepper to appreciate knowing how to feed yourself when the power goes out, supply chains get disrupted, or you simply want to rely a little less on the grocery store.

It’s about food independence, preparedness, and bringing back skills that used to be common knowledge.
