We recently went to @mcintyreskiarea and I am HOOOKED. This is the perfect spot for beginners, skiing with kids or honestly anyone who wants a low key ski day. Here’s why-

- Minimal walking. Idk about you but to me one of the worst parts of skiing esp with kids is shlepping all the gear around and walking in your ski boots. This is a small mountain so everything is very close together including the lodge, the lifts, the parking lot, etc.

- the lodge was super bright, clean, & spacious. Additionally there was space outside to enjoy a snack ( complete with fire pits!). You had a great view of the mountain from the outdoor tables.

- The NICEST staff. Everyone working there is happy to be there and wants to help you have a great ski day. From the people in the rental shop offering to help me when I was loaded down with gear, to the ski patrollers offering helpful tips on the mountain, it was such a positive environment.

- at the bottom of the mountain there’s an adorable snow play area. Kids can slide, climb and explore on a playground made almost entirely of snow. This is great for kiddos who need a break from skiing or for siblings who might be tagging along.

-beginner area had two magic carpets and had cones set up which was great to have kids practice their turns

-Prices were very reasonable & nothing was super crowded even on MA school vacation week!
