BREAKING: SUSPECT! Pete Hegseth’s wife faces ethics scrutiny over consulting payments tied to a Pentagon contractor.

While Hegseth runs the Pentagon, his wife reportedly has close access to its operations while collecting payments from a firm working for a major contractor.

POLITICO reports Jennifer Hegseth disclosed consulting work for Watchtower Strategy, a Trump-aligned firm whose clients include Lockheed Martin. Public records show the government paid Lockheed more than $66 billion during the fiscal year she was paid.

The Daily Beast describes Jennifer as an unofficial adviser embedded in Defense Department operations. The New York Times reported she attended closed-door meetings with Republican senators and interviews with prospective Pentagon employees before his confirmation. Officials and politicians told the Times her access to sensitive defense conversations was “not normal.” Her father was a Lockheed Martin executive.

Pentagon spokesperson Sean Parnell said the couple is “in full compliance with all ethics laws and regulations,” calling suggestions otherwise “ridiculous slander.” He said senior leaders are screened from private interests but didn’t clarify whether Jennifer had undergone security clearance screening.

Watchtower said “it should be no surprise” that a public affairs firm would work with a former Fox News star producer.

The reporting doesn’t establish that her payments influenced Pentagon decisions or disclose the amount. But the arrangement raises conflict-of-interest questions about a contractor paying someone with close access to the defense secretary.

Jennifer said on a podcast, “We were ready to serve in any capacity.” Apparently, that included consulting.

With Democrats about to gain subpoena power, the Hegseths could face questions under oath before or after an impeachment motion against Pete Hegseth.
