The Correspondent was released in April of 2025 but didn’t hit number one on the NYT Bestseller’s list until January of 2026. The success of this book was a slow burn and spread by word of mouth which is so cool and speaks to just how great it really is!
The Correspondent is told through letters, which was unique. But I loved the style of story telling, and prefer books with short chapters, and this fit the bill. It’s equal parts sorrow and joy, and truly feels like a book of life.
I will be gifting this book to many, and am sure will be a reread (which I rarely do!)!
