Yesterday we had a little scare with Melony..The doctors told us her heart went off rhythm for about 5 seconds yesterday morning before going back to normal..

Physically..she was completely fine and all of her blood work came back okay.. She was closely monitored yesterday and today and it hasn’t happened again..which really reassured the doctors that shes safe..

Still… just hearing the words “her heart went off rhythm” instantly brought me to tears..I carry so much PTSD from the scary days and long nights in the CICU..Those words will always hit differently for a heart mom..🥺

praying it was just a random moment and that it doesn’t happen again..Since being in the step down unit..we truly havent had many scares and for that I’m so grateful..🙏

Today we had such a sweet..simple day with little Miss Melony..We took a nice stroll around the unit before bed and enjoyed lots of pepperoni and lemons (two of Mel Bells favorite snacks right now) lol!
