Did you know you can "turn off" a magnet with just heat? 🔥🧲 This is the Curie Point in action! When iron hits approximately 770°C (1418°F), the thermal energy becomes so intense that it shakes the atoms out of alignment.
The iron transitions from being ferromagnetic (strongly magnetic) to paramagnetic, losing its attraction to the magnet instantly. It’s essentially a physical "reset button" for magnetism!
Once it cools down, the atoms settle back into place and it becomes magnetic all over again. Science is wild! 🤯✨
