Understanding Piles (Hemorrhoids)

Piles, medically known as Hemorrhoids, are swollen veins around the lower part of the digestive tract. They can cause discomfort, itching, or bleeding during bowel movement. Piles are common and often develop gradually due to pressure on the veins in that area.

First Stage (Mild Stage)
At this early stage, the swollen veins remain inside the rectum. A person may notice slight bleeding during bowel movement but usually feels little pain. Increasing fiber intake, drinking enough water, and avoiding long sitting can help improve the condition.

Second Stage (Moderate Stage)
The swollen veins may come out during bowel movement but go back inside on their own. Mild discomfort, itching, and irritation may occur. Lifestyle changes, warm sitz baths, and doctor-recommended creams can help manage symptoms.

Third Stage (Advanced Stage)
At this stage, the swollen veins may come out and need to be gently pushed back in. Pain and swelling can increase. Medical procedures such as rubber band treatment or other minor treatments may be recommended.

Fourth Stage (Severe Stage)
The veins remain outside and cannot return inside. This stage often causes significant discomfort and may require medical treatment or surgery.

Common Causes
Low-fiber diet, chronic constipation, long sitting, heavy lifting, and pregnancy can increase the risk.

Solutions
Eating fiber-rich foods, drinking plenty of water, regular exercise, and early medical advice can help prevent and manage piles effectively. Health is wealth #HealthAwareness #healthyliving Jessica Opare Saforo Háblame pri ‘1
