BAILA BACHATA HOUSE RULES
Whether you’re a seasoned dancer or a complete beginner, you are welcome here ☺️ The dance floor is about connection, great music, and good energy. To keep everyone safe and respected, please read our guidelines:
👩🏫 DURING THE OPEN CLASS:
· When the teachers talk, we listen. Save chats for the breaks so everyone can learn. 📚
· Arrive early to get settled, but once class starts, keep distractions outside the learning area.
· Be present. Everyone learns at their own pace. Let’s stay focused and support each other.
🪩 DURING THE SOCIAL:
· Consent is everything—before and during the dance.
· Always ask. A simple “¿Bailamos?” or “Would you like to dance?” is perfect. 💫
· If someone says no, reply politely and walk away. A “no” needs no reason.
· Feel free to stop anytime. Just say “Thank you” and step back—it’s normal and respected here.
· If you’re leading, use a gentle touch. Invite, don’t push. If a move doesn’t work, let it go and enjoy the music.
· No teaching on the dance floor. Social dancing is for fun and connection, not corrections. Save advice for class. 🤓
· Be aware of your space. Keep moves compact, avoid big kicks or elbows, and no lifts or acrobatics. Let’s keep everyone safe.
· Fresh is best. Wear deodorant, bring mints, and pack a spare shirt if you sweat. Your partner will thank you!
· We’ve got your back. Inappropriate behavior is not tolerated. If you feel uncomfortable, find Jemma or Jason immediately. We’ll handle it privately.
Thank you for being part of Baila Bachata! 🥰 Let’s dance the night away at Maggie Choo’s! 🎶 🥳 See you on Sunday 😍
