Babak Tafreshi
@babaktafreshi, Astrophotographer and National Geographic Explorer at Large, sits down with the Nightflower team to discuss his work; documenting how artificial light pollution is impacting our night skies.
Babak started The World at Night project (TWAN) in 2007, with the idea to build connections between humanity and the night sky. He believes blending our diverse heritages under one eternal roof confirms the unified nature of Earth as a home for all mankind. Since 2023, he has documented the night-time ecosystem and impact of light pollution in his “Life at Night Atlas”.
