Devī
(The Sanskrit word for “Goddess”)
In celebration of Women’s History Month and Chaitra Navratri, the Sarod Trilogy—Amjad Ali Khan with his sons Amaan Ali Bangash and Ayaan Ali Bangash—present Devī, a musical offering honoring the divine feminine energy.
Joined by special guests Shane Shanahan and Vivek Pandya, the evening explores ragas inspired by the many forms of the goddess—embodying wisdom, strength, compassion, and grace.
As Amjad Ali Khan reflects, music transcends barriers like a cosmic force. Like air, water, flowers, and color, it belongs to everyone. Through this spirit of unity and reverence, Devī celebrates the universal connection that music creates—honoring the divine feminine presence within sound itself.
