NEW YORK CITY MARATHON // what a day. so beautiful, so hard. NY I love you. i started to get pretty excited on my sunrise drive over to staten island and it just kept building throughout the day. from frank sinatra blasting at the base of the verrazano bridge to ripping through the five boroughs seeing so many friends and family along the way - an experience i’ll never forget. this was the first marathon i’ve run without a time goal. i wanted to soak it all in and let the day unfold without the pace dictating how i felt. i was ready for whatever and had a lot of fun just being in the moment. the nyc marathon in 2018 marked the beginning of my running journey, and with everything that’s changed personally in the last eight years, there was so much to reflect on. it made an already special day mean that much more. a lot of love to @vuoriclothing for making it happen - an incredible weekend celebrating the best race in the world. nyc marathon ‘26 // 2:36:37 📸 @carlnard 4, 5, 7, 8, 9
