Part 5: what medium format camera should you buy?!?!

Top recommendation Pentax 645 nii, then Mamiya 645, and lastly the beautiful Contax 645 🫶🏻

All the cameras u just said are over $1000-$2000 😭😭😭 a good starting medium format camera would be something like a mamiya 645 1000s or a mamiya RB67 or something like that u can get those for like $300-$500

I had both cameras of context was clearly the better of the two and the way it was built. It’s too bad. It’s just film driven because I could never shoot film again with the way of pollute our environment.

The Contax is not really a practical camera for most. I use the Pentax 645n Just go with the Pentax 645n it's cheaper than the 645nii and it's the same camera without mirror lockup. Or go with the Hassleblad H1

I’ve got a Mamiya 645E. It’s an often overlooked body because it’s polycarbonate and not a metal construction. Takes all Mamiya 645 lenses. Has a built-in meter with both manual and aperture priority. Most come with a speed grip with thumb advance Instead of a side winder. I would love to shoot with that contax!!
