Traditional Sports ❌ Esports ✅👇
I’ll admit it, I’m a huge competitive COD fan. But that aside, there’s a real takeaway here.
Pickleball should be studying Esports, not just traditional sports.
Why?
• Similar business model dynamics
• Built around media, personalities, and engagement
• A more mature playbook for scaling a new-age sport
There’s a lot to learn, both from what Esports did right and where it missed.
Takeaway: The future of pickleball might look more like Esports than traditional sports.

Do E-Sports tournaments drug test? Pretty sure some pros are taking stimulants unprescribed, doesn’t seem fair to bet until drug testing is in play.
