HU Staff: Kecia Gayle @kecia.kae Nicki Minaj has tried to recruit a killer doll to the red team, and the man who created him wasn’t having it on Election Day. ___________________________________________________ On Tuesday, the rapper posted an AI-generated image of Chucky in a pink suit and a “Vote Red” badge, with a caption wishing everyone a happy Election Day. The post was meant to nudge her followers toward Republican candidates. But it also sent the franchise’s creator, Don Mancini, straight to his keyboard. ___________________________________________________ Mancini answered fast. He replied right under her post and called the doll an “IMPOSTER,” insisting the real Chucky is riding with the blue wave. Then he got specific. In a separate post, he laid out the doll’s politics: Chucky has a trans kid, protects the dolls, and is anti-ICE. That’s a pointed reference, since the franchise gave Chucky a child, Glen, who later became Glenda. ___________________________________________________ Click the link in bio for full story 📾 Getty Images /
Man, 29 years later and we still gotta give Jay-Z his flowers for this one! đŸ˜źâ€đŸ’šđŸ”„đŸ Released on November 4, 1997, In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 gave us classics like “The City Is Mine,” “Imaginary Player” and “Where I’m From.” đŸŽ¶đŸ‘đŸŸ This was Hov transitioning from the streets to superstardom, and the album deserves way more love when we talk about his catalogue! Is this Jay-Z’s most underrated album, or does it get the respect it deserves?!
Satu RĂ€mö on juuri tĂ€llainen suunnannĂ€yttĂ€jĂ€. RĂ€mön poikkeuksellisen monipuolinen urapolku on kulkenut menestyneestĂ€ tietokirjailijasta kansainvĂ€liseksi kirjalliseksi ilmiöksi. Islantiin sijoittuvilla Hildur-dekkareillaan hĂ€n on valloittanut laajan lukijakunnan ja tuonut yhĂ€ uusia yleisöjĂ€ kirjallisuuden ÀÀrelle. RĂ€mö arvostaa lukijoitaan ja osoittaa sen vierailemalla vĂ€symĂ€ttĂ€ muun muassa kirjastoissa pienillĂ€kin paikkakunnilla. HĂ€nen työnsĂ€ merkitys ulottuu hĂ€nen omia teoksiaan laajemmalle: hĂ€n tuo sosiaalisessa mediassa esiin myös muita kirjailijoita ja kirjoja, mentoroi uransa alussa olevia kirjailijoita ja puolustaa lukemisen iloa ja arvoa. Aktiivisuudellaan, ahkeruudellaan ja innostavalla esimerkillÀÀn Satu RĂ€mö on vahvistanut koko kirjallista kulttuuriamme.” Kiitos ystĂ€vĂ€t seurasta. TĂ€ssĂ€ muutama rĂ€psy illalta❀
