Title: relating to grief and legacy. 2024. Materials: cotton, wire, Czech glass beads, cotton thread. The person who made this no longer exists. They are alive but deeply different. I made this piece while battling COVID for the second time. I was determined to feel less trapped in my room so I decided to make something. This piece birthed a love of beading,sewing, and mix media in me. I feel closer to my people when I sew. I hope everyone who reads this finds something that brings them closer to their people in their lives on the other side. - Damaria.
