Shark Tank is a reality TV show where entrepreneurs pitch their business ideas to a panel of wealthy investors, called “Sharks,” in hopes of getting funding.
The show first launched in 2009 and is based on a Japanese format called Dragons’ Den. In the U.S. version, well-known investors like Mark Cuban and Kevin O’Leary listen to pitches and decide whether to invest their own money in exchange for a percentage of the business.
Each episode features people presenting products or companies, explaining how they make money, and negotiating deals. The Sharks can ask tough questions, make offers, or choose to pass. If both sides agree, a deal is made on the spot.

It's definitely either his father in law, in which case he fumbled because he was nervous, or he was his Dad and he was deliberately being deceptive. I'm not certain which is true.
