We are advising members of the community to exercise caution when traveling through domestic airports at this time.

While airport security screening is conducted by TSA, immigration enforcement officers (ICE) may be present in or around airport facilities. Individuals who may be at higher risk include those who:
• Do not have lawful immigration status
• Have overstayed a visa
• Do not have any pending immigration applications (such as asylum, adjustment of status, etc.)
• Do not have DACA or TPS protection
• Have prior removal/deportation orders
• Have certain criminal convictions

If you fall into any of these categories, you should consult with an experienced immigration attorney before making travel plans. In some cases, even domestic travel may carry risks.

Every situation is different—do not rely on general advice when your future is at stake.
